Overview:
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem solving skills are my outstanding attributes while a diverse background accentuates leadership/mentoring skills. Ten years of programming experience includes seven years in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for Web-based, n-tiered, and client/server applications using Project Management principles and Object-Oriented Analysis and Design. Also, four years of experience in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on Statistical Process/Quality Control and Lean Manufacturing - Industrial Engineering.
     
    Expertise as a central point of contact between multiple projects with experience to:
  • Develop and coordinate projects with long-range and capacity planning over a broad range of design, complex analysis, and programming functions.
  • Direct the flow of software development providing leadership, guidance and counsel for less experienced staff.
  • Creatively apply technical knowledge to identify, negotiate and solve complex technical issues to facilitate the most appropriate decisions possible.
  • Gather, interpret and understand customer project requirements, translated into functional specifications.
  • Serve as liaison between management, engineering and operators, or work groups, project teams and customer groups.

  • Program Analysis: from initial concept through design, development, testing and implementation.
  •  Web Applications Development: HTML; CSS; JavaScript for Client-side field validation; DHTML; ColdFusion; VBScript/JScript in Active Server Pages; browser/DOM compatibility issues between Netscape and IE; ASP.NET w/ C#.
  • Database Design/Development: MS Access, SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 (T-SQL), Sybase, and Oracle (PL/SQL) RDBMS databases; intermediate SQL Server DBA skills; database design and modeling with Erwin, including definition and normalization; data conversion, migration and transformation (ETL) including Data Transformation Services (DTS); some Crystal Reports for the web.
  • Programming: VBA (MS Excel, Word and Access); VB 6.0 applications; VB COM development; C# and VB.NET for .NET applcations.
  • Manufacturing: Preventative Maintenance and Electro/Mechanical Troubleshooting, Tool Modifications and Custom Parts Design, Technical/Process Documentation and Specifications, Process Flow Charting, and Six Sigma Statistical Process/Quality Control.
  • Supervising, managing, mentoring, and training employees.
  • Other working experience: Use of Project Management principles (analyzing, planning, critical path, tracking, and milestones), with extensive training in Microsoft Project, for negotiating solutions of complex technical issues; Apollo Root Cause Analysis; SDLC (concept development, requirements analysis, planning, system design, software development - modules and components, integration and test, implementation and customer acceptance, and operations and maintenance); Object-Oriented Analysis & Design (requirements documentation, solid analysis skills, and the relative priorities of the requirements - domain, actors, use cases, and scenarios); Agile Methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge and study of C++, XML, XSL, CGI, Perl, Java and Java COM development.
  •  Working knowledge in Windows NT/2000/2003/2008 R2 small networks, Virtual PC, and Unix (basic) environments.
  • Currently working toward Software Project Management (PMI) and SQL Server DBA certifications.
